  Oct 29th same job today not much

  work so took a walk. Fellows

  think the war will soon be

  over + figuring when the will

  get back home I think March

  Oct 30 Walked around all day

  the grapes are all gone. enjoyed

  today the weather is nice a little

  cold on a morning  intend walking

  around tomorrow for there is too

  many men on a job + time drags

  Oct 31st Run into carpenter detail

  a H.Q. when I was off for my walk

  feel a little uneasy for fear they
