  which went good. We were

  not supposed to buy bread

  from the French bakeries

  but we used to for we

  were hungry. We used to

  take hikes every morning +

  one day were ordered out

  on a hike with full packs

  but the men were not very

  hard + strong with the food

  we got + they were dropping

  out all along some having

  to go to the hospital they

  were so run down. I was on

  police guard the night before

  we left I was at the depot

  with Kehoe. It was my birthday

  27 years old Oct 1st we left Pons.
