  on deck. A good many fellows

  sleeping on deck. Aug 24 Slept

  good awoke about 6 o'clock,

  washed up + went down for

  breakfast: As we were eating

  breakfast the boat pulled

  in the river + was glad to

  get started on the trip. Saw

  lots to interest us all day

  met the rest of the convoy

  this afternoon , warm again

  to-night + am going to sleep

  on deck. Aug 25th Slept good

  again. We have 17 boats in

  the convoy including one cruiser

  + one destroyer which are taking

  the lead. We seem to have the

  biggest boat in the convoy + it

  is a steady sailing boat . Every

  boat keeps the same position
