  butter + cheese I have heard

  several remarks about

  England + the people + I do

  not feel very pleasant about

  it. Sept 6th We got to sleep

  untill 9 oclock this morning

  then we had breakfast. It

  is a lovely morning + I have

  been walking round. The camp

  is very clean + the British

  soldiers here are all dressed

  far more respecable than we

  are. They all have there shoes

  shined + buttons posished up

  Our fellows find them interesting

  to talk to but cannot quite

  understand some of them. I

  played football this afternoon

  + it makes me feel good to
