  finished up +mas Night in Partys in our Respective Billits up till about 3 in the morning then about 4 o'clock the Bugler came round and roused us all up to get full marching order immediately take everything with you we said to ourselves now we are for it and we had Breakfast well what we could in the Dark and with our fat Heads after such a fine +mas well we went out of Luton and we all marched with everything we had Bands transport and cankers we went to St Albans and there we found the Trains in the Station waiting for us we all got in task of our Pack and put them on the racks got the Cards out for a game of solo wondering where on Earth we were going anyway we had just got nice and comfortable and the Duglas went all what that and Looking out of the carriage Windows we all had to get out and march back to the County Hall had Bread Cheese served out and then marched Back to Luton back to our Billits where we arrived back at 6 o'clock at night 24 miles march after a Glorious +mas I think it was the most splendid +mas Box ever a General could have given his man on a Boxing Day he made proper Aprill fools of us as well We stayed in Luton a few more weeks Training and tio finish our Firing and said Goodbye to Luton and marched Back to St Albans
