  to stop a little water but the roof

  rains for some time after the

  actual rain has ceased. Still

  even with these slight disadvantages

  it is very much better than living

  out in the open. I expected to take

  the company out on a working party

  to-night but was agreeably surprised 

  to find that the order was cancelled.

  parcel were very good & likely to

  be useful. We are never short of

  tea so I shall not want tea tablets

  again until I ask for them. I could 

  do with a pair of cheap socks

  at least every other week as there

  is practically no chance of washing 

  them & also the hard wear they
