My Own Darling Wife
I expect to be going a little
further back into Support to-night +
as there is an interval now before the
other unit comes in I am trying to
write to you. we expected to go
back last night but for some reason
we were ordered to stay an extra
twenty four hours. It has made our
turn seem rather long. We have
had a very quiet time taking
all things in to consideration + a
frost came + dried the trenches
to make things better for us
It is hard to realise that today
is Sunday but the weather
during the day has been
delightfully spring like . All
my officers are fit + well if
you except dugout colds.
