Fishes they come to you & want money for it

but still it is well worth it if only to see

the many different kinds of fish.

Sunday May 24 1915

To day I & about 20 others were all taken for

a good day out. In the First place we all fell

in at about 8 o-clock ready to start of. Our

spirits were very much damped at first as the rain

came down very heavy & when they say heavy here

you can guarantee that it is heavy. Well we left

barracks in guaris (cabs) & went for about 4 miles

when we joined the tram way which took us

about another 2 ½ miles untill we came to the

landing stage on the banks of the Irrawadi.

I must not forget to say that this tram ride

was one of the best half hours I have ever

spent one would think we were a lot of

Sunday school children out on the annual

holiday we were so delighted after never seeing
