To Day a slight mistake was made

which did not worry us. There was

breakfast waiting for us at 2 stations

so within 1 hour we had 2 first class

feeds. We at last arrived at our journey’s

end Maymyo at 10:30 & had a glorious

reception plenty of cheering etc but nothing

to eat & cheering does not fill your

belly. The Barracks are long low

bungalows very comfortable & plenty of

room we each have a bed to ourselfs

with Hooks shelves a box etc & It was

one of the finest treats I have ever had

to get into bed for the first time. The

barracks is situated in the centre of a

jungle about 2 miles away from the

village of Maymyo which is a very

small place. There is no amusements here

after Drill only to wait for each day

finishing. The feeding arrangements is

as usual (Rotten) after landing we had
