They offered to put in the whole
of the lighting for £10 cash or
£1 a quarter as hire purchase or rather
payment by installment. They did
this & then put 10/9 on the bill for
lamp shades different from specification.
I ordered nothing different & if any
differences were made they did it
on their own responsibility to try &
get more money out of the job. This
I have explained since the first bill
I got. I must write & thank Herb
for those things - hope the posters
were good. No I don't think meat
tickets are much good now. It is
usually possible to get a more
substantial ration - though they have
come in handy at times. I should
have loved to have heard Kenneth
& Alice. His progress seems
wonderful to me. You must be
a very good coach. I too am
expecting a good time when I come
home - a very good time indeed
