  a ruined barn and its only

  advantage as a mess is that

  we have a stove close to which

  we got from a house that the

  Boche blew up. It's a good

  mess in dry weather but it

  might not be so good in the

  wet.

  cheer up mother. Talk to her

  a lot + play with her sometimes

  She needs you a real lot

  so you must be good + kind

  to her. Kiss her + love her

  for Daddy as well as for

  yourself.
