  and not sorry to go either. We had a Breakfast

  about 7 o-clock & marched to the station about

  10 o-clock leaving Myitkyina at 11-30. we of

  course passed many interesting places which I

  have already written down In this book &

  arrived at Sagaing Shore about 8-30 on

  Monday Morning. We at once crossed the

  River on the ferry to Almapura Shore where we

  had Breakfast on the River Bank & then

  entrained again for Maymyo.

   

  Monday Mar 1st 1915

   

  Entrained for Maymyo about 10 o-clock

  I may say that on this journey there is

  one of the strangest Railways I have

  ever seen, I run’s clean up a mountain

  side in a Zig-Zag fashion & it is

  practically impossible to describe it. when

  you get to the top it is possible to see

  for miles & the scenery is simply splendid

  afar a most enjoyable ride we at last
