Elsie has not had her long looked for letters from
Jack yet. Her visit to Cuppy with Don Dabbs could
not take place yesterday - It rained incessant all day.
but they made a start. Met at Hornsey St. Mary's Church
went in to a Wedding, then took a train & ride to Hilfield
& back. Dined off their sandwiches in Mrs. Dobbs eating room
at 1 oclock, spent the afternoon in chatting & rag-
bag saving. & when Dad & I went round about 8pm
we found them playing "Donkey"
Wes decided not to come for Easter. so we have
been alone today - and we have his visit to look
forward to. I am enclosing the 10/- note you asked for.
Glad you had a little change at Weybridge. May be
its as well to take little pleasures as you go along the
road of life. We only Jan along nice and its as
well to have some pleasant memories to look back
over. Hope you get a little rest on Monday but
with so much movement of the troops at present I expect
they will find you something to do. Frank is back
in bed with another cold. Must write Wes now & its
9.30 & back
