I hope you will not suffer a tinge of disappointment
at no visit from us through Whitsentide - we wait
further particulars, and full knowledge of your position
we would certainly prefer to glimpse your dear face but
must lengthen out the anticipation for a few days yet.
Elsie went to Longford on Sat morning & we hope to
get there on Monday morn taking Aunt & Uncle Dayley
down with us from Paddington. They are full of sympathy
and send you much love.
Now dear boy I am wound up, wishing for you
this day may have been a restful & happy day
without any undue pain.
With much love from Dad
p.s. I chose the razor believing your other one
was a like small size
am wondering if this will be a close thing
& reach you at the same time as anothers
& the parcel
