We are very thankful too that
it is only wounds, not loss of
limb. That would be far worse.
Nevermind the loss of things, that's
better than loss of sight or limb.
We can soon replace all necessaries
Elsie will be posting cash to you
to-day. But the word will
be omitted so please make
inquiries for it. She will register
it so it will reach the
hospital alright & should it
not be delivered will come

back to us. We posted you
a pcl. on Tuesday last, but
you will not get it now I
suppose, so will miss ham
& cucumber. Nevermind, we
hope some other poor fellow
may enjoy it. I think you
are in same hospital that Wes
was. Elsie says his was No. 8

Glad to say we are all well
Will write again in a day
or so. Shall anxiously await your
next letter to know how the
poor back goes.
