Called the Thousand & one Pagados although
that is its name there are only 760 altogether
The Main Pagoda is a very large one &
is placed in the centre of the others. It is
a most magnificent building & is completely
covered in Gold Paint. Inside is just like
all the other Pagodoes except in this
one there is the Tomb of the Last King of
Burmah also what is called Budda’s
footprints. This is a Great slab of marble
on which is two enormous footprints which is
believed by the natives to be where
Budda stood the last time he was on
Earth. After this we went to see the small
pagodas, thses are very interesting as in each
one is a great slab of stone one which is
carved a page of the Bible. After leaving
here we went to see what is called the
King Golden Monostery. This is what the
late King of Burmah used when he
was a Priest. I think that in this place
is some of the most magnificent
carving in the world. It is simply
