To day I have a very sad event to record

one which I hope before it is finished will

Being what they deserve to all concerned. When

we were at Inma a man name George

Taylor belonging to the Brampton went to the

Doctor (McLaren) & complained about feeling

ill.  The Doctor examined him & said there

was nothing the matter with him. The Doctor

then reported him to his Colour Sergent (Strecter)

who charged him with malingering he was brought

up before the Colonel who after giving him a

lecture sentenced him to three days imprisonment.

to day however the Final has been reached for on

going to wake him he was found dead in Bed.

& now every body is blaming everybody else but I

expect like everything else it will be hushed up.

the main part about this sad affair was that he

died in the morning & was buried the same night.

the Funeral I must say was most impressive

the Band led the way playing The Dead March

& The Song of Death. After the Band came the
