He is dressed in typical blue Army uniform of metal helmet of the type typically issued to infantry soldiers known as 'Adrian', brown leather  belt around a blue jacket.

He hold a bouquet of flowers including mistletoe and above him to this right in white Art Nouveau script is printed the greeting 'Bonne Année' et Bonne Souvenir (Happy New Year & Happy Returns).

The postcard has "DIX 118/2 420 printed in the bottom right corner.
