this so I am really at ease. Tea
is just coming up + after tea
we are playing the officers
of another Battalion. Wonder
if I shall be stiff. My
costume to-day - can hardly
call it a uniform - consists of
shirt all open at the front.
breeches, stocking puttees, socks
+ boots. I had to put on a
belt, collar & the cap +
gas mask for parade. Pity
I haven't a white dress or I
would wear that. The weather
is delightful + none of us
really mind the heat. I
ran across some of the men
we sent out on that craft
from Tralee last night
+ also one of my old Sergts
who is now an officer.
