My Own Darling Wife,
Just a short love note to
say I am fit + well. The Coy is still in
the front line although we expected to
get into support last night. However it
was found impossible to relieve us and
we are not having too bad a time. Just
a few minor disadvantages like not being
able to wash + shave often & having to keep
boots on all the twenty-four hours and
going to bed ? half an hour after
dawn. I received two letters from you
the night before last and was very
pleased to get them. They are waiting
for me when I got back from visiting
my posts about 4 am. We have had
two rainy days which rather spoiled
the show but the rest of the time the
weather has been lovely. I believe the
Division is being taken out for a
rest after we finish here so we may
