headaches instead of pleasant
sleep so they decided to flit.
The Padre was round this
morning & wanted me to believe
with him that the war would
be over in August. He is
evidently thinking of his summer
holidays. I'd like to think that
the Boche will give in by then
but it will be a rapid change
of tune if he does. I expect
America will claim the honour
of ending the biggest war
in history (by fright) if she doesn't
