My Own Darling Wife
Sorry I had to finish letter in
hurry but will now try to work at
greater length. Letters went about two hours
earlier than I expected - but then it seems to be
always the unexpected that happens out
here. I was very pleased to receive letter
and parcel safely tonight. I am glad to
hear that Kenneth was getting better again
+ I sincerely trust that he will soon
be really fit + able to get about even
though the weather is not too fine. It is
really good to receive letters + I do
enjoy reading all about what you
are doing- though I am afraid I do
not always answer what you put in
the letters. Most of my letters are, in this
great game, written under difficulties
+ I rely on my memory for answering
letters received several days earlier. At
present 12.40 am 8/4/17 I am writing
