  the duties should he be called upon

  to join the staff again. I'll write as

  often as I can but I think there

  may be gaps between until we get

  back to rest again. I am feeling

  very fit & well. Shall be going up

  on horse back to-morrow for about

  twelve miles. The Bn battalion will spend

  the night in a ruined village &

  then go to our location the next day.

  Beloved. I should love to come

  & play with Kenneth for a bit. Give

  him a kiss from me & tell him to be

  good to his Mommy. Give my love

  to all. Well Lassie I am having a 

  good time here but I should love

  to be back with you. Heaps & heaps
