My Own Darling Wife,
Just a short note this time
to say that we have finished our rest
for a time & are moving forward to do
a little more work. We all feel much
better for the change of living in huts
instead of in holes in the
ground. The weather seems more
promising, although we had snow
yesterday, and the sun has a
good warming power during the day.
I hope you are all keeping fit &
well & enjoying life. I have no
news cause I can't write about
the war & our billets are not
too exciting. One sleeps so long.
I had dinner with Howard &
Sheppard last night & found them
both enjoying the war. They have a
little hut cut into the side of
a bank & were very cosy. Charles
Harvey has rejoined us as he is
now considered by the powers that
be to be thoroughly acquainted with
