My Dear Nan I got your welcome 

letter quite safe + I am sorry to hear

that Earnie as not been so well

I hope by the time that you get this

letter he will be all right again 

poor little chap he must buck up

now the nice weather is comeing

we are haveing it a bit fine now

the fruit trees are in all in blossom

but that don't stop the roar of the

guns over our heads I am beginging [SIC]

to get used to the noise now I 

wish a thousand times that the

War was over the same as you do
