My Dear Nan just a another line
in answer to your letter which I got
last night our letters must cross each

I gets so as not to keep you without
a letter because I know that you
would worry about me if you did
not hear from me for a few days
well my Dear I have come out of
the trenches again all right thank
God but I am sorry to say that
we have lost a few this time I
have had some narrow escapes
but I am all right up till now
hopeing to keep so Dear Nan
