November 15 1915

It is really surprising what a deal some

people know about poultry (although I know

so very much) as christmas is now fast

approching we have formed a committee

to see if we cant have a bit of a spree

at xmas. Well for a commencement the

said Committee went into Mandalay

Town & bought 20 Geese of course this might

sound a lot but it must be remembered

that these are 130 men to join of this

lot. Well of course when the Colonel

heard about this purchase he at once

wanted to inspect the Geese. The

following is the conversation that followed

between the colonel & Lieut. Waugh who

was in charge of the Geese

Colonel = I think they look rather

dirty dont you

Lieut. Waugh = no sir nothing out of the
