6 Verse

Of course I’m mad on solidering my friends here as well

We wish the Kaiser & his troops were safely lodged

in H___

And although were out in Burma, we all hope

to have a chance

To let them feel the “Border” end of a bayonet

soon in France.

So you “Brass hats” in the Audience we hope you’ll

make it soon

When you order us all trenchwards on a trooper from Rangoon

Chorus

From Maymyo, From Maymyo

Meeting all discomforts with a grin upon your face

Because were leaving Burma for a vastly better

place

Oh Westward O, Oh Westward O

From Maymi Ami O

Through when we’re out in Belgium & the shells

begin to fly

We’ll show you that  the terrier lads can fight

& Fight & die

And some of us will wish for & Remember

with a sigh

Good old Maymi Old Maymi Ami O
