Fresh Hymns. The Rest of the day was
simply lolling about & we needed it
after our exertions of the last four days.
Monday April 20 1915
To day we received a pleasant Surprise
we were told that we could have to day
holiday & anyone can guess how it was
Spent. We Simply Sat & lazed about all day
we had no heart in us to do any thing
else as the heat is something terrible. To day
it is 106 in the shade so anyone can guess
what it is like in the sun. We simply lie
on our beds & from morning untill night
it is just one continual sweat. When
we are in bed it is impossible to sleep
without the Punkas working & then we
simply lie with nothing on & sweat. If H---
is any hotter than this, then I am not going
