Fresh Hymns. The Rest of the day was

simply lolling about & we needed it

after our exertions of the last four days.

Monday April 20 1915

To day we received a pleasant Surprise

we were told that we could have to day

holiday & anyone can guess how it was

Spent. We Simply Sat & lazed about all day

we had no heart in us to do any thing

else as the heat is something terrible. To day

it is 106 in the shade so anyone can guess

what it is like in the sun. We simply lie

on our beds & from morning untill night

it is just one continual sweat. When

we are in bed it is impossible to sleep

without the Punkas working & then we

simply lie with nothing on & sweat. If H---

is any hotter than  this, then I am not going
