Received a well earned rest but
as usual it was impossible to get
a decent wash which I must say
is as much needed on a long march
as Food but we managed with
the usual Mud bath & all Fell
asleep on the ground in the same
mind that we would never last
untill the end of our journey.
Fri April 17 1915
To day we commenced the third stage of
our journey we again started away at 7-
o-clock & again continued down the Mountain
side the third day was something similar to
the second day’s the same road cut in the
mountain side. It is a great sight to see
the great ravines & the Bridges which in the
wet season must be really magnificent
& as we are told the water pours down
in great columns & to see the great
rocky beds it is really wonderful how
