Thurs Mar 11 1915
again we had to get up at 5-o-clock
after a very hurried breakfast C Company
were given the job of Baggage Guard.
that is two men go after each wagon
as a protection I can’t say much about
this day as it was just similar as
the other days but we were very pleased
when we came in sight of the camp. It
was a good sight from a hill to see the
white tents in the sunlight. When we arrived
we were all placed in our respective tents
but we were place 13 in a tent when we
got all our equipment & rifle’s kit Bag etc
in there were not much room left for the
men. The Floor of each tent was simply the
ground which like the rest of the Country was
deep in dust we had to sit on the ground
to eat our meals which if you did not eat it
