Just Received the news of the Death of my

Father. all that I can say about that is that

I have lost my best & dearest friend.

 

Sat Mar 6 1915

 

To day we had the surprise of our lives which

convinced that it is not soldiers the country wants

but charwomen we had to take paraffin & rags

& rub our bedsteads all over after that we had

to clean all our boots (& I now possess five pairs) of

course there is nothing in that but when you have

to polish the soles & brighten the heel plates with

Emery paper it is coming it a bit thick.  After

that we were very busy cleaning our equipment

& things ready for another inspection by the

General I think that here they are about

paid as to what they can find us to do
