Breakfast at 7-o clock & fell in for parade at
7-45 we then started off with two Bands in
Attendance & everybody looked in first class trim
but when we arrived back about 11-30 we were
just like a lot of dish cloths we were simply
wetthrough from head to foot with sweat
& then had to change every thing we had as we
were in such a dilapidated condition, but we
all managed to accomplish this difficult task
but at the experience of some very sore feet.
To night we are having a whist drive given
by the R.A.T.A. the price of admission being the
princely sum of two annas (2’) after the whist drive
we were given a very good supper so we were
not robbed as entrance fee was concerned.
We spent a most enjoyable evening & had a very
nice supper & broke up about 9-30.
Sunday Jan 17 1915
To day we have had another church parade
After which we had a walk to what is called
One Tree Hill. this is a great hill about 2
Miles out of Maymyo it is a very steep hill &
