During the afternoon we had the glorious

task of washing the Dining Room floor although

it was a job that none of us liked it was

quite laughable to see all the men down on

there knees like a lot of charwomen. After

We had finished & got it all nicely dried

we had the Gratification of finding that it

was ten times worse that if we had never

touched it so it is quite evident that we

will never make our living by charing.

--

Wed Jan 13 1915

--

To day we started of with a run but

only went about 2 miles & then Breakfast after

Breakfast we had the usual drills. To day

we received the unpleasant news Private

Wilson who was taken ill on Board the

Descado has died in Calcutta Hospital.

the news put the Damper on everybody as

he was a very smart young fellow.
