Monday To Day we have been very

busy practising for The First of January

when we are to have another Cerimonial

Parade. This one is held every year in

India to proclaim the King the Emperor

of India. This consists of 4 Regiments

all drawn in line & loaded with Blank

Cartridges. At a given word the first

man on the Front row fires a shot in

the air & then every man one after the

other as fast as possible. It runs down

the Front rank & then returns up the

rear rank. After the first Volley is fired

the Band plays the first bars of the

National anthem. Then another volley is fired

& the Band play the rest of the National

anthem. Then another volley is fired & the

Band plays the anthem through. Then

three cheers are given for the King & then

It is over for another year.
