Christmas Eve we were all in Bed about
9-30 & soon fell asleep but about 12-30
we were rudely awakened by our beds
being overturned by some of the Boys being
on the Warpath, so of course we had to
carry the same on again & after that & the
singing of song we managed to get
back to bed about 3-30. Tired out.
We got up 6-30 & after taking great care in
the preparations of our Toilet. Then at 8-o-clock
We all sat down to a very good breakfast
I wont say here what we had as I am putting
in another page the Menu & Programme we
had our meals in one of the Bungalows
which we had Decorated up for the
occasion with streamers were given Orange
trees etc & every thing looked first class
after Breakfast of corse we had to have
a rest & then get ready for a church
Parade. In India all soldiers who attend
Church go with 20 rounds of ammunition
& Rifle fully loaded the reason for this
is because The Indian Hurting Brook
