back at the Barracks we were simply

jiggered up, in all we had marched

just over 15 miles, but out of over 800

men there was no one had to fall out.

when we got back Dinner was waiting,

for us, & we were not long in Disposing

of that, & could not help but say that

we had had a very pleasant time. At

night we decided another whist contest.

No 1 Section again won this time by

12 points.

To day in India is always considered

a general (every Thursday) holiday in

Commemoration of the Finish of the Indian

Mutiny. But as usual we had to be

unlucky, Instead we were given two

Parades & then we all had to strip for

a 5 miles run. The Archdeacon & all
