Everything we possess brass work Equipment
Rifle Bayonet etc on account of being
inspected by the Guvenor of Burma. We
had a very good day washing etc we
looked like a lot of charwoman washing
& scrubbing & when we had finished we
had had all our trouble for nothing
as things looked no better ,except us
were all half dead with the heat which
is very bad during the day although it
Is very cold at night & we have to
cover ourselves up well with extra
blankets & overcoats.
--
Dec 14th 1914
To Day we had another heavy
day as we were drilling nearly all day
& cleaning the rest on account of Tuesday
which is beginning to get on our nerves
as as usual we will have to stand
out in the heat to please the heads who
of corse do not consider the man.
