only our waterproof sheet to lay on and

biscuits to live on we had a very pleasant
fortnight here this was not about the
middle of Oct 1915 and after this we
were very glad to make our way up the
line again we went now to the right of
Loos again gradually working our way
towards the Somme we went up the line
again on the hairpin sector and very
muddy up to our knees in it but a bit
better than working party.
