Had these Dinners sent so our Lieutenant was one of those miserable kind of chaps who hated to see anybody having a bit of fun like I had been having all the morning and amusing the company so he turned round and Looked along the Line and spotted me he said Send Worsfold he as had a lot to say all the morning. So I said very good SirI will hop in the Billit and take my Equipment off before I go that meant about 10 mile walk round Luton doing the job all on my own instead of about 4 men doing it one go to each Plan so I went to the Billit and got ready and the Lady in the Billit said were are you going I said the Sloppy Sergeant had forgotten to send the Guards food so I had to do it she said ain't you having your dinner before you go I said it ain't time yet she said why it as gone one o'clock I said well that's done it I am entitled to mine as well as the Guards by this time the Officer and Sergeant came round to see why I was not ready I said I was just having my Dinner then I was going He said you go at once that Done it I said what me been on Parade all the morning and go without any Dinner I said not for you or Jesus Christ he said fall in 2 men fix Bayonets then there was an Armed Party with me in the centre being man had
