My Own Darling Wife,
I am sitting in my armchair
being lazy after tea. The sun has been shining
brightly all day long and it is as warm
as a midsummer day. However we have no
work to do in the day time so we can sit or
lie in the shade enjoying the pleasant warmth.
Everyone agrees that it is better to be too hot
than wet and up to the knees in mud
The footman forgot to bring me any letters last
night but I didn't really answer your
last one yesterday when I wrote that I hurried note
as I was going out our "Working Party"
Kenneth will give me a good time I can
easily see. It seems wonderful that he
can express his ideas and ask questions
I shall have to keep my ideas up w
unless I want him to catch me out
... Lassie there are very few days pass
without my getting a letter + I don't
