  letter received last night The contents

  of the parcel were most useful +

  welcome while the letter was just

  lovely. We are still having fine

  weather although we had a summer

  shower yesterday. To day has been

  gloriously warm + sunny I ...

  had a sleep this afternoon.

      We hope to run the sports off next
  

  time we get back to rest (!) I had a

  talk with the Brigade Major about

  them this morning We (a small

  proportion of us ) went a little over

  two miles back this morning to a

  church Parade when one of my 

  fellows was presented with a

  Military medal. He was wound

  the same night as  ...
