Dressing did not take very long - the
operation only consisted of throwing
off a blanket. After breakfast I
indulged in the luxury of a wash
& shave about a pint of water being
available. It was 48 hrs. since I had
washed so I felt much refreshed.
I have passed the day in the woods
sitting in the shade & reading a
novel. A light novel by Curtis Yorke
"That Little Girl" advertised as a
change from the war strain. I had
to retire to shelter for a time as the
Boche was putting a few "fire ..."
just far enough away to keep things
pleasant. I am writing now
in an "arm chair" (made of soil
the middle of some bushes. The
is very comfy & has a good back
though I couldn't get any springs.
