get parcels away. I looked at some

toys for Kenneth but finally bought

a wee dress in the hope that it

would fit. I told Madame that he

was two & a giant for his years &

she assured me that it would

be sure to fit. We had tea at 4 pm

although we were not supposed to be in

a café at that time & dinner at 6 pm

& the bus started back at 7:15. I got

back to my billet about 11 pm

having thoroughly enjoyed the change.

To-day has been fine & warm & we have

been getting ready for moving as we

go off tomorrow morning at 8 am.

We shall have a good day's march & then

a full day's rest before we go into the

line. I'll do my best to let you have

a line but as I shall have to go

forward to look over my piece of the

line I shall not have much time &

there may be a gap of three days.

There has been no mail for two
