My Own Darling Marion,

               We have enjoyed another lovely

day and now a pleasant coolness is being

evident. I turned in a little earlier this morning

about 3.45 am + slept soundly until 9.30

Breakfast took rather a long time and we had

fried bacon as a luxury. Have had all the

food sent up cooked until the bacon came

last night. To level things off a bit there was

no water to wash with so I had a shave

instead. No I didnt leave a tide mark for

my sponge was damp + I got most of the

dirt onto it + a little of the remainder on to

the towel. I had a walk round part of my

position with the C.O. It was lovely walking

with the birds whistling, the trees almost

covered with leaves + flowers sprung up

all round. I was somewhat warm when I

got back but I still think it is much

more pleasant to be warm (- too warm) than

too cold. This afternoon we have lolled

about in the sun except for the odd
