play cricket for we have neither bats,

wickets, balls nor a ground so we

had to be content with playing 

"soccer." Sorry to hear that March

has gone under. Glad you had

- or rather the families had a good 

time when Lills came. Wonder if

Alice would come & "carry on" for me

for a week end? It is good of ma

to send those socks. I managed to

write her a letter the other day. I 

am glad she is still keeping missing

Hope Will Pearce will be lucky. It 

amuses me to read in the newspapers

about the various stunts out here.
