  We come back here for a bath

  + two days rest + refit. so that

  we could do one more stunt

  before going back for our long

  expected + much desired eight

  days rest. I hope to get a good

  night's rest tonight so that I 

  shall be in form for thirty six

  hours without a wink. There will

  be plenty to keep us occupied but

  expect it will chiefly be pick

  + shovel work, but cannot tell

  until  I have actually got on the

  spot. I feel much better after

  my hot bath, in a shed which

  let in rain + hail, to say nothing

  of the wind, whilst I was bathing.

  The clean clothes are also comforting

  I think I shall get into Pyjamas

  to night but shall have to breakfast

  early in the morning 'cause I've

  got to get over at least four miles
