  on the floor. Hall joined me a

  few minutes later. He had come

  have some food ready at midnight.

  There was still some warm tea

  + I had that + most of a tin

  of bully corned beef  then some warm

  machoncie meat stew + a tot of rum. The

  men were reported all in so

  I took off my wet boots, put on

  some dry socks + rolled into

  a blanket. I was soon fast

  asleep + seemed to be disturbed

  with a cup of hot tea a few

  minutes later - really after 10 am.

    I had breakfast at midday
