48Mr Marten told Dad this morning that
Douglas is coming up to a
campat
so suppose a commissionis in view.
You may be interested to know we have
managed to get 6 lb of potatoes this
last week, small seed ones left over
from the supply, but they are very good
after being without so long - Anne was
charmed to carry home to Fulham
3 lb after being without one for 2 months.
We are having a Chaplain to the
in the pulpit to-night so wantto be on good time, therefore will
conclude this rambling epistle and
get ready, can add a bit more if
the spirit moves when I return.
Sundays go all too quickly here -
wonder what you are up to to-day -
The Russian says this war will end this
year but wars will go on till 1944 so
prepare to be a soldier all your life
5
Belgians in Bruges. He still
takes
out on pcl -, guess he is making money all round -
but he is still a bit morbid -
Elsie went out yesterday with
Mr & Mrs Dabbs. They met at
Holloway and had an entertaining
time with a Russian
Lady who revealed many things
to them by her reading of the
stars. Then they had afternoon
tea at Dells the Grocer and
went on to a concert at the
Central Hall Westminster, arriving
home at 11.30 p. m, so they
or rather Elsie missed seeing Uncle
& Auntie Davey -
Am glad you enjoyed contents of
last parcel - We were a bit doubtful
