at Rhodes I bought 30 sacks of soap, and I gave
orders to load them for Cyrus. I do not know if
Michael received my telegram and letter. As I could
do no work at Samos, I took ship to Pyraeus, and from
there to Alexandria, and from Alexandria to Cyrus.
I did not go to Pyraeus and Alexandria for work. It
was my route for Cyrus. I came with Pandeli
Anastasiades from Samos to Cyrus. When I was at
Rhodes I received two letters from Sava Heralambo.
Unfortunately I have not got these letters now.
I do not know what has happened to them. In the
first letter Sava wrote saying that he hoped we
arrived safely, and that I was able to dispose of
the cargo. I received this letter a few days after
our arrival at Rhodes. Before receiving Sava's
letter I wrote to him, reporting our safe arrival
and sale of the cargo. The letter you now show me
(marked A. J. W. I) is the one I wrote. about twenty
days after our arrival at Rhodes I received a second
letter from Sava in answer to my letter (marked A. J. W.
I). I have not got this letter. In the second he
wrote to me to buy lamp glasses and tumblers as the
price of these articles was high in Cyprus. He also
warned me to be careful that the oil I was going to
buy should be of good quality. I wrote a second
letter to Sava, and this is the one you now show me
(marked A. J. W. II). Although I have not got the
letters Sava sent me, I happen to have one of the
envelopes which I now produce (marked A. J. W. IV).
